BROOKLYN
Students at the Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music can take 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons in most orchestral and jazz instruments, and voice. Conservatory faculty teach private lessons in voice, violin, cello, guitar, piano, bass, saxophone, trumpet, piano, flute, clarinet, and viola, among other instruments. Instrumental students may also join the string orchestra, jazz orchestra, or study chamber music. The Conservatory offers voice students classical and jazz styles privately, and also offers Women’s Chorus, Classical Chorus, and Jazz/Gospel Choir.
All students taking individual instruction at the Conservatory are urged to take a theory class and/or a performance class to round out their musical education, and class tuition rates are reduced for these students. Prospective students may attend one session for free before enrolling.
