About the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale:
A dynamic chorus with high musical standards, the Conservatory Chorale explores and performs a rich variety of musical styles, a cappella and with orchestra, from the Renaissance to the present. It is open by audition to Conservatory students and members of the community.
Music Director Nelly Vuksic has conducted extensively in the USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia. She has collaborated with musical organizations including American Composers Orchestra, New York Choral Society, the UN Singers, and the Americas Vocal Ensemble, which she founded.
Repertoire and Dates for Spring 2009 Concerts:
A selection of music from the Renaissance by Josquin des Prez, Monteverdi, and Janequin; modern and contemporary works by Debussy, Thompson, Lauridsen, Chatman, and Copland; and world premieres by Don Hagar and Cesar Vuksic "Songs of Nature"
