The Berkeley Carroll-Brooklyn Conservatory Diploma is a program that requires private lessons, ensemble participation, music theory and history courses to be taken throughout the school year and/or during summer intensives at the Brooklyn Conservatory. Eligibility will begin in 8th grade and run through 12th grade.
Recipients of the Diploma will receive a Brooklyn Conservatory of Music stamp on their Berkeley Carroll graduation diploma.
Requirements
- 6 Fall or Spring semesters of private lessons.
- 5 Fall or Spring semesters of Conservatory ensemble participation.
- 5 Fall or Spring semesters of Berkeley Carroll large ensembles (Jazz, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra or Chorus).
- 4 Fall or Spring semesters of music theory at the Conservatory or at Berkeley Carroll.
- 4 recital performances will be included in participation of ensembles and/or private lessons.
Summer courses at the Conservatory will count as half of a Fall or Spring credit.
