FLORENCE HUTNER Florence Hutner is the Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence. She has worked for the City for over twenty years in various capacities, including as Senior Counsel in the City’s Law Department and General Counsel for the Departments of Correction and Probation. Florence’s prior nonprofit board experience includes serving as trustee and president of the Long Island Soundkeeper Fund and, more recently, of the Park Slope Jewish Center, where she participated in leading a strategic planning process and significant building renovations. Florence and her family live in Park Slope and are longtime avid amateur musicians and members of the Conservatory community, through the Conservatory teen brass group, the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale, in which Florence sings soprano. |
